BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT SCAMS:

FAKE WEBSITES ADVERTISING STEADY BICYCLES:

Beware of fraudulent online websites that advertise Steady Bicycle Company products for extremely low, “too good to be true” prices. In an era of so much rampant fraud, we occasionally receive reports or find pictures of Steady bicycles being advertised on unusual foreign websites that are not authorized to carry our product line, nor possess any of our products to sell. Any Steady bicycle advertised on a website other than STEADYBICYCLECOMPANY.COM or an official authorized dealer’s website, should be considered as fraudulent. In order to prevent potential customers being scammed, if you see a new Steady bicycle being advertised on the internet someplace that seems suspicious, please contact us to confirm it is a legitimate source. Steady Bicycle Company is not responsible for any money lost from fraudulent scams carried out by malicious websites dishonestly advertising the sale of our products.

FRAUDULENT PHISHING EMAILS REQUESTIONG BANKING / PAYMENT INFORMATION:

Steady Bicycle Company only conducts correspondence via official email from @steadybicyclecompany.com corporate websites. We do not communicate with customers regarding payment or sensitive banking / identity information through social media accounts. Steady Bicycle Company sales and accounting staff will never contact customers through social media about banking or payment information. We will never send you a link to “click on” to take you to a payment portal. All buyers should be aware that there are many scam websites and scam emails pretending to be legitimate companies that send out links in hopes that you will click on them. Any malicious link clicked on from a fraudulent email or social media message can infect your computer with a virus, gain access to your date, and even steal your personal banking information. Always beware of fraudulent actors posing as legitimate companies that wills end you out scam emails in hopes of gaining access to your banking information.

CAFE RACER BIKES / MOTORCYCLES ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE

Steady Bicycles Company manufactures high quality, high-end, specialty bicycles. Certain select Cafe Racer styled / themed bicycle models are manufactured and built in a way to be authentic Café Racer bicycles, the Bistro Racer model is one of them. Café Racer bikes often have features and characteristics for speed, sleek style and unique appeal that encompass a different ride fit with may sometimes not have the most comfortable ergonomic characteristics for long rides. We inform customers that our old-fashioned Cruiser style bicycles are a great fit for most types of riders. However, our Bistro Racer and Steady Racer models may not be the right fit for somebody looking for a traditional bicycle for long ride durations.

ADD GAS OR ELECTRIC MOTOR KITS TO STEADY BICYLES

Steady Bicycle Company and it’s staff inform all potential and existing customers that adding any gas or electric motor kits to our bicycles void the warranty and can be extremely dangerous. All Steady high-quality bicycles are manufactured to the highest standards and are not made to have aftermarket torque or power inducing propulsion kits added to them. Adding a gas or electric motor kit to pedal bicycles can have damaging consequences to the bicycle’s brakes, bearings, hubs and other critical components that are intended for pedal propulsion only. We clearly inform all customers that Steady Bicycle Company bicycles SHOULD NOT have bolt-on engine or motor kits added to them for numerous safety related issues.

WE ONLY SELL BICYCLES THAT ARE IN STOCK

Steady Bicycle Company ONLY sells complete bicycles when they are available for sell after production. We do not sell bicycles or take deposits / partial payments on bicycles until they are completely ready for purchase and ready to ship immediately to dealers and customers who purchase online. We will occasionally have varying wait times and delays on out of stock models and will do our best to inform waiting list customers once they are back in stock.

SHIPPING DAMAGE CLAIMS AND RESPONSIBILITY:

Steady Bicycle Company is not financially responsible or liable for shipping damage induced to a bicycle box / or a bicycle damaged from improper shipping and delivery. We inform all customers that ALL Steady bicycle boxes depart / ship out of our facilities in excellent condition without damage, tears or compression / crushing signs to the boxes. All Steady bicycle boxes have clear instructions printed on them informing shipping company staff to keep bicycle boxes upright, and to not place bike boxes on their sides where damage can be induced. We firmly inform all customers to take pictures of any damaged bike boxes upon receipt that may be needed for use in conjunction with a shipping damage claim filed with the shipping / transport company that delivered a damaged bicycle. Please ensure you take detailed photographs and submit them to the shipping company for a claim.
